Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. Cook the sauce for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.

  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated in the tomato sauce.

  6. Serve the spaghetti with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves on top.
