How To Make Sausage & Fennel Orecchiette

Ingredients
- 8 ounces orecchiette pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Cook the orecchiette pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the fennel, onion, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Deglaze the skillet with white wine, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Cook for 2 minutes.

Return the cooked sausage to the skillet. Add chicken broth and cooked pasta. Stir to combine.

Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the sausage and fennel orecchiette hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
