How To Make Fennel Seed and Sausage Stuffing Recipe
A savory dish of bread and sausage mixed with the flavors of fennel seeds.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 6 cups of cubed bread
- 1 lb of Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp of fennel seeds
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large skillet, cook the sausage, breaking it up into small pieces.

Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the onion, garlic, and fennel seeds.

Cook for 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent.

Add the sausage back into the skillet along with the bread cubes, parsley, and chicken broth.

Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.

Transfer mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
