Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until it is well coated with the sauce.

  6. Serve hot, or let cool and divide into meal prep containers for later use.
