How To Make Chicken Cacciatore Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 oz. spaghetti
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz.) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, until softened.

Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the flavors are well blended.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and slice into strips.

To serve, divide the cooked spaghetti onto four plates. Top with the chicken and sauce. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
