How To Make Baked Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Add the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce and mix until well combined.

Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
