Ingredients
- 8 fresh sardines, gutted and scaled
- 2 lemons, juiced and zest grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh marjoram, chopped
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions

Preheat grill to medium heat.

In a bowl, mix lemon juice, lemon zest, marjoram, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Place sardines on a plate and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the walnut and pepper dressing by combining chopped walnuts, minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

Grill the marinated sardines for about 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
