For Hummus:

  • 3cupschickpeascooked
  • 2garlic cloves
  • ¼cupwater
  • 2 ½tbsptahini sauce
  • ¼cuplemon juice
  • 2ice cubes
  • ½tspsalt
  • ½tspcumin powder
  • 2tbspolive oil

For Meat Ingredients:

  • 1lbsirloin steakcooked and cut into small pieces
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ¼tsppepper
  • ¼tspall-spice
  • ¼ cinnamon
  • ¼ cardamom powder
  • pine nut, paprika, and parsleyfor garnish


  1. Blend all the hummus ingredients except for the olive oil together in the food processor for 2 minutes, then mix everything with a spoon and blend for another minute.

  2. Add the olive oil and mix with a spoon.

  3. Drizzle olive oil in a skillet and cook the meat on medium heat with the spices.

  4. Put the hummus on a plate and top with meat pieces. Garnish with paprika, pine nuts, and parsley and serve with crudites or pita wedges.
