- 2 cups dried black-eyed peas, rinsed and sorted
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Place the rinsed black-eyed peas in the slow cooker.
