Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the chopped onion, diced carrots, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  6. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and the filling is bubbly.

  8. Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving.
