Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups of broccoli florets
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, cooked chicken, broccoli florets, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.

  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Continue whisking until the sauce thickens.

  5. Pour the sauce over the rice mixture in the mixing bowl and stir until everything is well coated.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly.

  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
