How To Make Huli Huli Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  2. Place chicken drumsticks and thighs in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use.

  5. Grill the chicken for about 15-20 minutes per side, or until cooked through and juices run clear.

  6. While grilling, brush the reserved marinade onto the chicken occasionally for extra flavor.

  7. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
