Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. In a slow cooker, combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Place the seasoned beef chuck roast into the slow cooker and coat it with the sauce mixture.

  4. Cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  5. Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  6. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining sauce.

  7. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low heat to allow the flavors to blend.

  8. Serve the barbecued shredded beef on buns or over rice.
