Total: 45 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, feta cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into 12 meatballs, making a small indentation in the center of each one.

  4. Stuff each indentation with a small amount of feta cheese, then pinch the meat around it to enclose the cheese.

  5. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, cook the meatballs in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.

  6. Transfer the meatballs to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
