How To Make Oregano and Feta Stuffed Lamb Meatballs Recipe
Juicy lamb meatballs stuffed with tangy feta cheese and aromatic oregano. Perfect for a Mediterranean-themed dinner.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, feta cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
-
Using your hands, form the mixture into 12 meatballs, making a small indentation in the center of each one.
-
Stuff each indentation with a small amount of feta cheese, then pinch the meat around it to enclose the cheese.
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, cook the meatballs in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
-
Transfer the meatballs to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
