How To Make Anise and Pear Tart
A delicious tart filled with the flavors of anise and ripe juicy pears.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp anise powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and anise powder.

Cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Beat egg yolk and mix into flour mixture until dough forms.

Roll out dough and transfer to a tart pan.

Arrange sliced pears on top of the dough and drizzle with honey.

Bake for 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown and pears are tender.

Let cool before serving.
