Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit a tart pan. Place it in the pan, pressing the edges to fit.

  3. Arrange the pear slices on top of the pastry, overlapping slightly. Sprinkle the ground cardamom and sugar evenly over the pears.

  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the pears are tender.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
