How To Make Yvonne’s Jambalaya Recipe
Delicious and spicy rice dish with chicken, sausage, and shrimp.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 lb chicken breast, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 lb sausage, sliced
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions

In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add chicken and sausage. Cook for another 5 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

Add rice, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning. Stir well and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Add shrimp and cook for additional 5 minutes, or until shrimp is pink and cooked through.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot.
