How To Make Spiced Sweet Potato Burgers with Avocado & Basil Salsa

Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 avocados, diced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the grated sweet potatoes, black beans, bread crumbs, red onion, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Shape the mixture into 4 patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the patties for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

In a separate bowl, combine the diced avocados, chopped basil, and lime juice. Toss gently to combine.

Serve the sweet potato burgers on buns, topped with the avocado and basil salsa.
