How To Make Porridge with Quick Berry Compote, Figs & Pistachios

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
- 2 figs, sliced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup milk (optional)
Instructions

In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the rolled oats and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Meanwhile, in a separate saucepan, combine the mixed berries and honey. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the berries are soft and the mixture has thickened slightly.

Divide the porridge into serving bowls. Top with the berry compote, sliced figs, and chopped pistachios.

Optionally, drizzle some milk over the porridge for added creaminess.
