How To Make Porridge with Beetroot, Apple & Cranberry Compote & Toasted Hazelnuts

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup beetroot, grated
- 1 apple, peeled and chopped
- ¼ cup dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
Instructions

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the rolled oats and salt, reduce heat, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the porridge thickens.

In a separate saucepan, combine the grated beetroot, chopped apple, dried cranberries, honey, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the mixture is soft and slightly thickened.

Divide the cooked porridge into four bowls. Top each bowl with a generous spoonful of the beetroot and apple compote.

Sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts and serve hot.
