How To Make Pistachio, Almond, Lemon & Rose Baklava

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 10 sheets of phyllo dough
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, mix together the chopped pistachios, chopped almonds, lemon zest, and ground cinnamon.

Place a sheet of phyllo dough in the baking dish and brush with melted butter.

Repeat step 4 with five more sheets of phyllo dough.

Sprinkle half of the nut mixture evenly over the phyllo dough.

Layer three more sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each sheet with melted butter.

Sprinkle the remaining nut mixture evenly over the phyllo dough.

Layer the remaining sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each sheet with melted butter.

Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the baklava is baking, mix together the honey, lemon juice, and rose water in a small saucepan.

Heat the honey mixture over low heat until slightly warmed.

Once the baklava is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the warm honey mixture over the top.

Allow the baklava to cool completely before serving.
