How To Make Paneer in Herby Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.

Add the chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.

Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili. Saute for a minute.

Add the tomato puree, tomato paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, dried mixed herbs, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked and the sauce thickens.

Add the paneer cubes and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes until the paneer is coated with the sauce.

Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
