How To Make Herby Paneer Parcels

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Ingredients

  • 200g paneer, crumbled
  • 1 cup chopped mixed herbs (such as cilantro, mint, and parsley)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 sheets of filo pastry
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a bowl, mix together paneer, chopped herbs, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt.

  3. Take one sheet of filo pastry and brush it with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and repeat the process until you have 4 layers.

  4. Cut the layered sheets into 4 equal squares.

  5. Place a spoonful of the paneer mixture in the center of each square. Fold the sides towards the center to form a parcel.

  6. Repeat steps 3-5 with the remaining filo pastry and paneer mixture.

  7. Brush the parcels with olive oil and place them on a baking tray.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the parcels are golden and crispy.

  9. Serve hot as an appetizer or snack.
