How To Make Kimchi, Cheese & Spring Onion Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup of kimchi, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped spring onions
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. Spread the chopped kimchi evenly across the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and chopped spring onions on top of the kimchi.

  5. Starting from one end, tightly roll up the pastry into a log. Seal the edge.

  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Brush the pinwheels with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden color.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed up and golden brown.

  9. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
