How To Make Festive Squash Jalousie

Ingredients
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Add the diced squash, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the squash is tender.

Roll out the puff pastry onto a baking sheet. Spoon the squash mixture onto one side of the pastry, leaving a border around the edges. Fold the other side of the pastry over the squash and press the edges to seal.

Brush the pastry with the beaten egg wash.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
