How To Make Halloumi Hash

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Ingredients

  • 250g halloumi cheese, diced
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add diced potatoes and cook until they are golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. Add diced bell peppers, red onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until vegetables are softened.

  4. Push the hash mixture to one side of the skillet, then add the diced halloumi cheese to the other side. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and slightly crispy.

  5. Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper over the hash mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until everything is well heated.

  7. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

  8. Serve the halloumi hash hot, and enjoy!
