Ingredients

  • 2 cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup of tahini
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: paprika, chopped parsley, olive oil drizzle

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, add the chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving dish.

  5. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with optional toppings, if desired.

  6. Serve with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers.
