How To Make Cardamom & Peach Quinoa Porridge

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • Optional toppings: sliced peaches, coconut flakes, and additional maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water. In a saucepan, add the rinsed quinoa, almond milk, maple syrup, and ground cardamom. Bring to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the quinoa is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.

  3. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.

  4. Stir in the diced peaches and chopped almonds.

  5. Serve the porridge warm, topped with sliced peaches, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of maple syrup, if desired.
