How To Make Almond Butter & Banana Porridge
Breakfast bowls are really convenient because all you have to do is literally toss together the ingredients in a bowl, and you’ve got yourself a hearty breakfast. You might have already seen the trendy bowls of quinoa seeds with fruits and nuts around social media. But did you know that you can have savory renditions of this morning meal, too? Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 4 cups almond milk
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 4 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional toppings: sliced bananas, chopped almonds, honey
Instructions

In a large saucepan, bring the almond milk to a boil.

Stir in the rolled oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the mashed bananas, almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the saucepan. Stir until well combined and heated through.

Remove from heat and let the porridge sit for a few minutes to thicken.

Divide the porridge into bowls and top with sliced bananas, chopped almonds, and a drizzle of honey, if desired.
