How To Make Beany Pasta Pot

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 oz of pasta
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1 tsp of dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes to the pot. Stir well to combine.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked pasta to the pot and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  6. Serve hot with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
