How To Make Whole Foods Vegan Burger Recipe

These vegan burgers are hearty and delicious, packed with plant-based protein and flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.

  2. Add cooked brown rice, chopped walnuts, scallions, soy sauce, dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well to combine.

  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.

  4. Warm a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes per side, until browned and crispy.

  5. Serve the patties on whole wheat buns with toppings of your choice.
