How To Make Smoked Salmon & Avocado Sushi

This sushi features a combination of smoky salmon and creamy avocado for a delicious and healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 4 sheets of nori seaweed
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • Soy sauce, for serving
  • Wasabi, for serving
  • Pickled ginger, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.

  2. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat or a clean kitchen towel.

  3. Wet your hands with water and spread about 1/2 cup of sushi rice evenly on the nori, leaving a small border at the top.

  4. Lay thin slices of smoked salmon along the center of the rice.

  5. Peel and slice the avocados, and place them on top of the salmon.

  6. Roll up the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat or towel to help shape it. Moisten the border with a bit of water to seal it.

  7. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

  8. Use a sharp knife to slice each roll into 8 bite-sized pieces.

  9. Serve the sushi with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
