  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced onion, sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add sliced chicken breasts and cook until no longer pink.

  4. Add julienned carrot, snap peas, and shredded cabbage. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.

  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.

  7. Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the chicken and vegetables.

  8. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the noodles are heated through.

  9. Serve the quick chicken chow mein hot, garnished with green onions.
