How To Make Mexican Chicken & Black Bean Wraps

A flavorful and satisfying dish with tender chicken, spiced black beans, and fresh toppings wrapped in a tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the black beans, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Add the cooked and shredded chicken to the skillet, stirring until well combined and heated through.

  3. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.

  4. Place a generous amount of the chicken and black bean mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream.

  5. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll up tightly from the bottom.

  6. Serve the wraps with lime wedges for squeezing over the top.
