How To Make Low Carb Ground Turkey Stir-Fry

A healthy stir-fry loaded with ground turkey, veggies, and Asian-inspired flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and ground turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

  2. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.

  3. Add minced garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce over the turkey and veggies and stir to combine.

  5. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until heated through and the sauce has thickened.

  6. Top with chopped green onions if desired and serve.
