How To Make Lamb & Chickpea Pitta Burger

Ingredients
- 500g ground lamb
- 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pitta breads, halved
- Toppings: sliced tomato, cucumber, red onion, lettuce, tzatziki sauce
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chickpeas, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, chili powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

While the patties are cooking, warm the pitta breads in a toaster or oven.

Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty inside each pitta bread half. Add desired toppings such as sliced tomato, cucumber, red onion, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce.
