How To Make Cornucopia Sugar Cookies Recipe

Soft and buttery sugar cookies that are shaped like a cornucopia and filled with candy for a festive treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Candy corn or other small fall candies

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, then add to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Chill dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Roll dough into small balls and shape each into a cornucopia by pressing the center and creating a curved shape.
  7. Place shaped dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately fill the center of each cookie with candy corns or other fall candies.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
