How To Make Chocolate Chip Shortbread
A delicious, buttery shortbread cookie filled with chocolate chips.

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

Press the dough into an 8×8-inch baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the shortbread to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Cut into squares or desired shapes and serve.
