How To Make Tamarind Curry Recipe
A tangy and spicy South Indian curry made with tamarind and vegetables, perfect to be enjoyed with rice.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chillies, slit
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
Instructions

In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.

Add chopped onions and green chillies, sauté till onions turn golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they turn soft.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add tamarind pulp and water as required, let it cook for 10 minutes.

Add desired vegetables like brinjal, okra, or drumstick and cook for another 10-15 minutes or till the vegetables are cooked.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
