How To Make Tamarind BBQ Ribs Recipe

Fall-off-the-bone ribs cooked in a tangy tamarind BBQ glaze, perfect for a BBQ party.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup tamarind paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.

  2. Peel the membrane from the back of the ribs and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Place the ribs in a baking dish with the water. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 hours.

  4. In a saucepan, combine the tamarind paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 10-12 minutes until the mixture thickens.

  5. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush the tamarind BBQ glaze onto the ribs. Raise the oven temperature to 375°F and bake the ribs for another 30 minutes.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
