How To Make Walleye with Lemon Butter Sauce
A light and flavorful fish dish served with a tangy lemon butter sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 walleye filets
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tbsp of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
-
Mix together the flour, salt, and pepper in a dish.
-
Dredge each walleye filet in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
-
Heat the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until melted and bubbly.
-
Add the walleye to the skillet and cook each side until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
-
Transfer the walleye to a baking dish and cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until fully cooked.
-
In the same skillet, add the lemon juice and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
-
Cook until the sauce has reduced by half, then stir in the parsley.
-
Serve the walleye with the lemon butter sauce poured on top.
