How To Make Walleye Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 walleye fillets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 tbsp tartar sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.

  3. Place flour in another shallow dish.

  4. Dip each walleye fillet in the flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture.

  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tbsp oil.

  6. Once hot, cook walleye fillets until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  7. Assemble sandwich with lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce on a toasted bun.
