  • 4 fresh walleye fillets
  • 16 asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Wrap each walleye fillet with 4 asparagus spears and secure with toothpicks.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Brush the butter mixture over the walleye and asparagus bundles.

  5. Place the bundles on a baking sheet and top with lemon slices.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  7. Remove the toothpicks and serve hot.
