How To Make Salmon Fish Cakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of salmon, drained (14.75 oz each)
  • 2 cups of mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup of chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the salmon, mashed potatoes, onion, celery, parsley, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  2. Form the mixture into 8 patties and coat each patty with breadcrumbs.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce or toppings.
