Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with lemon juice, tamarind pulp, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the sliced onions. Sauté until they turn golden brown.

  3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until it is well cooked and tender.

  4. Add the slit green chilies and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

  6. Serve hot with roti or rice.
