  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup your favorite jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a tart pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cubed butter, and sugar. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until it forms a dough.

  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is large enough to fit your tart pan.

  5. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the greased tart pan, pressing it gently into the edges.

  6. Spread the jam evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tart is golden brown.

  8. Allow the tart to cool before serving.
