  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cut the bread slices into smaller pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

  3. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

  4. In a bowl, mix together the sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

  5. Slowly pour the hot milk into the sugar mixture while whisking constantly.

  6. Pour the mixture over the bread in the baking dish, ensuring all the bread is soaked.

  7. Dot the top with butter.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
