Ingredients

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.

  2. Slowly stir in the milk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  6. Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes and let cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.

  7. Cover each dish with plastic wrap, making sure the plastic wrap touches the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the pudding is chilled and set.

  9. Serve chilled and enjoy!
