Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of deer meat, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and paprika. Stir well to combine.

  2. Add the thinly sliced deer meat to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat the oven to 170°F (77°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  4. Remove the marinated deer meat from the refrigerator and place it on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to shake off any excess marinade.

  5. Bake the deer meat in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dried out and chewy. (Note: Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the meat slices).

  6. Allow the deer jerky to cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
