How To Make Venison Curry Recipe
This spicy and aromatic curry is made with tender venison and a blend of traditional Indian spices.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound of venison, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch of ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1 tsp of coriander powder
- 1 tsp of garam masala
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of chili powder
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Water, as needed
- Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped, for garnish
Instructions

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add the onions, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomatoes and stir well.

Add all the spices and salt and cook for a couple of minutes.

Add the venison and continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add enough water to cover the meat, bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat to low.

Cover the pot and cook for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.

If the curry is too thin, simmer for a few more minutes to thicken it.

Serve hot with rice or naan, garnished with cilantro leaves.
